We love Revere Beach. The first public beach in North America, it’s right outside of Boston at the end of the MBTA Blue Line. This weekend, there was an added attraction: a traveling carnival. We stumbled upon the party and shot some of the action:
Boxers, kids on stilts, clowns and people in giant sun costumes – it was the SomerStreets Carnaval in East Somerville, Mass.
We’ve had some of America’s best pulled pork from East Carolina to Texas. For our first attempt at smoked pork, we decided to combine those traditions.
After years of studying the BBQ arts we decided it was time to learn them first hand. Over Labor Day Weekend we assembled the Manic Smoker, bought and seasoned a brisket and stayed up all night smoking it. Here’s how the process went.
The final night of the ManicTimes ’12 trip was the Fourth of July and we spent it walking around the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston with our cameras.
Nice weather or not, we visit Revere Beach every spring. This year, we decided we would hit Revere Beach, Castle Island, and Wollaston Beach in one day.
