A large data visualization with 10 maps based on census tracts and using data from the Census Bureau. The first three show how the census tracts which contain the IBX would align with the NYC subway system. The alignment is more nuanced than in the first graphic. The fourth map is an inset, showing four census tracts in Ridgewood, Queens. The text describes how demographic metrics change from one tract to another, even when those tracts border one another. The remaining six maps are all choropleths showing how demographics change from census tract to census tract through the “IBX-lands”. These six maps are repeated below, and more information will be provided there.
